This is my fourth German car... '93 Porsche 968 Cabriolet -
SOLD about a month prior... '87 Porsche 944S - Great fun, but two Porsches were too much of a financial burden... '01 VW GTI GLX (VR6) - Although it had 50+ horsepower over this New Beetle Convertible, top UP or DOWN this New Beetle is LOADS more fun... Then came this '03 VW New Beetle Convertible - Within a couple of days of seeing it at the local VW Dealer, I knew I had to trade the GTI!
With an expanding family, I must give up a toy or two and move on to a
sedan (BMW 325i). I miss this bug greatly!
I am quite particular about my vehicles. This car was driven properly during the break-in period and I always allow for proper warm-up before normal operation. (Keep RPM below 1/2 of redline until up to temperature - then wait for the same amount of time for oil to catch up to water temp.) All of my vehicles have Mobil One flowing though their oil passages. Only the best to ensure a long and happy life for such wonderful machines!
