My latest adventure was to install my new PIAA bulbs - Platinum H4 for the head lights, Xtra H1 for the driving lights (no Platinums available, yet), and Ion Crystal H3 for the fog lights (still not sure - might switch to the Platinums here, too).

I would definitely recommend the Platinum series bulbs.  There is a definite difference, the Platinums put out much whiter light - kind of like the upgrade from non-halogen to halogen.  I tried some "high output" bulbs before, however they altered the light pattern and basically gave my car two really bright spots, but not a nice even pattern like standard bulbs.  The PIAA keep the light pattern, but brighten the area (mostly due to the whiteness of the light, not due to an actual brighter light).  I've heard discussions about how these aren't worth the money because they don't actually put out any more light, but I am glad I upgraded and would recommend it.

Now, as far as the Ion Crystal H3 fog lights... that's going to take some getting used to.  I think these might be more of a matter of preference and I'm not entirely sold on this "new" look for my baby.  It's kind of neat because it's different, but there are lots of times that I use my fog light like daytime running lights and also end up running them into early evening to keep from popping the mains.  Now, I'm not sure what that'll look like *shrug* guess I'll have to see if I get used to it.  One last note, the Ion Crystal technology is great - there's very little argument that keeping the lens clear will increase output.  It's kind of neat to see what you'd think is a clear light come to life as such an intense yellow :-)
